Student Ambassadors & Interns 2024-2025

Meet our Student Ambassadors and Interns for the 2024 – 2025 school year!

Keerthi Nagapudi is a senior majoring in Design Studies and minoring in Business Administration. She has worked at the Gregg Museum since 2023 and is moving to New York City for Experience Design with EY after college. In her free time, Keerthi enjoys getting a cup of coffee, giving her cats lots of pets, and anything crafty or creative!

Sarah Durham from Charlotte, NC, is a passionate leader, artist, and aspiring education innovator dedicated to making a meaningful impact. She is a part of NC State University, Class of 2028, majoring in Applied Education Learning Design & Technology with hopes to get her masters in the same field. With a strong background in leadership, community service, and art, she is committed to creating engaging and impactful learning experiences. She has been working at the Gregg since January 2025. A fun fact about Sarah is her favorite medium to work with is watercolor, and her favorite artist is Keith Harring.

Audrey Colopy is a Design Studies student at NC State University with a passion for creativity, problem-solving, and exploring how design connects to different industries. Her experience ranges from working on a photogrammetry project in Greece to customer service roles that have strengthened her teamwork and adaptability skills. Currently, she is an ambassador at the Gregg Museum of Art & Design, engaging with art, visitors, and creative projects.

Dhanush Vijayanagaram is a graduate student in the College of Engineering with a strong curiosity for learning. He enjoys cooking, volunteering for meaningful causes, and engaging with people. Passionate about breaking down complex concepts, he finds joy in simplifying ideas and sharing knowledge through teaching. With a long-term aspiration to become a professor, he hopes to first gain valuable industry experience and continue inspiring others along the way.

Amanda Benwire is a graduate student pursuing two degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture. She has worked as an ambassador since 2021 and is part of the Friends of the Gregg Board as a student member. Outside of work you will most likely find her and her service dog spending time outside in nature.

O'Brien Millard — O’Brien Millard has loved art museums and creating art with many different mediums since she was young. Some of her favorite mediums are sewing, photography, multimedia, and drawing. She currently attends NC State for Visual Arts Studies with a minor in Arts Entrepreneurship, and hopes to become a tattoo artist as well as work in historical building preservation.

Samantha Roncevich is a senior in Industrial Design and a student ambassador at the Gregg Museum. She has always had a strong interest and passion for the arts, including painting and fashion. In her free time, Samantha loves to read, paint, and she dedicates a lot of time to the student run fashion magazine, Platform Magazine. Samantha loves working at the Gregg because it always inspires her creative side by being surrounded by amazing art and people!

AchintyaPrathikantam — Achintya Prathikantam is a Computer Science grad student at NC State who loves blending tech, creativity, and community. A passionate dancer and tech enthusiast, they believe that both art and technology have the power to tell stories and bring people together.

Layney Keesee is a second-year English Literature major with a minor in Anthropology. This is also her second year working at the Gregg Museum of Art and Design as a Student Ambassador, and served as an Educational Intern in the Fall 2024 semester. Layney enjoys reading, writing, drawing, and working at NCSU’s Roundabout Magazine when she isn’t dwelling at the Gregg front desk.

Raam Nouri is a graduating senior majoring in Art Studies: Visual Arts and minoring in German Studies. Raam began as a Collections intern then continued to stay involved as a Student Ambassador and Exhibition Development and Preparator intern. He has an illustration background and is deeply fascinated by the intersection of creation, community, and history.

Evan Stevens is from East Bend, North Carolina and will be receiving a B.A. in both History and Political Science. He has been thrilled to intern in the Gregg Museum’s education department this semester and would like to especially thank his supervisors, Zoe Starling and Tamara Velasco, for creating such a welcoming atmosphere each and every day. Following his graduation, Evan will be taking part in a summer internship at the National Museum of American History assisting with their Experience Development team. In the fall, Evan will be starting an MA in Public History program at the University of York in the UK. In both of these wonderful opportunities, Evan plans on applying what he has learned here at the Gregg as it was a truly beneficial and fruitful experience.

Kaya Shimer is a Design Studies Major with a Business and Entrepreneurship Minor. She is an Education Intern at the Gregg for the spring semester. Kaya has learned so much about the museum field, public education, and marketing education! This summer, she plans to pursue another internship at NC IDEA for entrepreneurship.

May Cheron is a Senior majoring in Anthropology and History and minoring in Biology. May worked close with our collections team as a Collections Intern. Throughout her internship, May has learned about the behind the scenes operations of a museum and the care and handling of collections. After graduation, she plans on taking a gap year before pursuing a Masters in Museum Studies.

Erin Secosky is a graduating senior, soon walking the stage for her bachelors in Graphic and Experience Design. During spring 2025, she was delighted to be digital media intern at the Gregg Museum, working on a marketing campaign for SunBoxes with Craig Colorusso. Through this opportunity, she was able to create material for marketing collateral, social media, and signage for the exhibition! She looks forward to continuing doing project work with Gregg and getting more into exhibitions graphic design. In September, Erin is moving to Lyon, France to work part-time as an English teacher at Université Lyon 2, while continuing her design work abroad.

Mars is a senior studying history and anthropology, with plans to graduate and seek a career in parks, museums, and historic site management. Mars enjoys spending time outdoors and supporting NC State Women’s basketball.

Sun Boxes: Music as a Tool for Community and Environmental Engagement

Travelling around NC State’s campus from April 8-28, Meditation with Sun Boxes intertwines STEM, art and nature into an immersive music experience for students to unwind as they prepare for the end of the semester.

This exhibit was made possible through a collaboration with the artist, the Gregg Museum, Centennial Campus Placemaking, NC State University Libraries and the State of the Sciences Week.
